200-apartment units announced while Gateway zoning case remains suspended

Candace Carlisle, Staff Writer- Dallas Business Journal – November 5, 2012

Dallas-based Trammell Crow Residential is planning a $19 million apartment project, which along with public improvements, could help reshape the northern entry into Oak Cliff.

The four-story, 200-unit apartment property sits on nearly three acres of land by the intersection of Beckley Avenue and Zang Boulevard. The apartments will add additional housing options within walking distance of Methodist Medical Center.

The development of the apartment community is seen as a key development by officials in Dallas’ economic development department, who recently approved $4 million in neighborhood tax incremental financing funds for the project. The funds will also need approval from Dallas’ city council, which is scheduled to hear the project Nov. 14.  >>
